Lend a Hand Up!

HONK’s success comes through donations and the help of our volunteers, and our corporate and community partners, including students, employees of small companies and large corporations, organizations, churches, homeowners and retirees.

Housing Opportunities of Northern Kentucky coordinates volunteer activities for members of the Northern Kentucky region.

Our Volunteers typically contribute over 10,000 hours each year in the areas of new home construction, old house renovation, serving on our Board and Committees, and helping with various aspects of administration.

Our Corporate Partners do a great job in advertising the work of HONK, and mobilizing their own workforce to help in the volunteer effort. They are also an indispensable source of donations, both financial and in-kind.

Our Community Partners – local churches, schools, civic groups and municipalities donate their time and talent, as well as lending financial support. Much like the Corporate Partners, they provide product donations and muster their volunteer base to help.

Whether you are lending your voice to our cause as an advocate, donating funds, or working with us side by side, your support is needed to build or repair houses, to mentor/support families, to help with office work, to assist in attracting qualified homeowners, etc.

With your help, and the help of our other esteemed volunteers, we can strengthen families, change neighborhoods, and lend a hand up to others in our community, allowing them to share in the American dream.

Your gift of time, talent or treasure will make a difference and change lives through homeownership.
